Rumours: Arsenal target Ighalo
Arsenal are planning a summer move for Watford striker Odion Jude Ighalo as an alternative to Borussia Dortmund goal poacher and current African King, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to The Mirror.
Ighalo has been in prolific form for the Hornets this season, hitting 14 goals in 20 games in the Premier League as Quique Sanchez Flores' side sit in the top-half of the table on 29 points.
The report claims the 26-year-old striker is on the radar as a cut-price alternative to the newly-crowned African Footballer of the Year, who is expected to be the subject of huge summer interest.
Arsene Wenger faces competition from Spanish side Atletico Madrid for the signature of the Nigeria international, with the Liga club having sent scouts to keep tabs on his performances.
