Reports in Italy claim that Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi is on his way to Germany to join Bundesliga club Werder Bremen.
Onazi has found first team opportunities hard to come by at Serie A club, SS Lazio this season.
The Nigerian midfielder has made just six Serie A appearances this season amassing 442 minutes of competitive action under his belt in the process.
He is said to be disillusioned at the situation if comments credited to his agent, former Lazio striker Stephen Makinwa, are to be believed.
Italian website, LaLazioSiamoNoi.it reported on Thursday that there is strong interest from Werder for the services of Onazi with a move in the January transfer window looking likely.
It also reports that Bayer Leverkusen, Hannover and Ingolstadt are other German clubs in the running for the Nigerian.
Onazi has however never hidden his intentions to play in England’s Premier League and LaLazioSiamoNoi claims Watford, Leicester City, Crystal Palace and Everton have indicated varying degrees of interest for the Nigerian.
The 23-year-old has scored six goals in 102 appearances for the Biancoceleste since joining the club in 2012.
