The outspoken Golden Globes host - who caused controversy during the ceremony on Sunday after several of his jokes caused offense amongst viewers - didn't hold back with his scathing remark on Twitter.
In his typically blunt style, the British star tweeted: "Why did the Oscars announce all the white nominees first?"
All 20 slots in the four acting categories were filled with white actors for the second year in a row sparking outrage among fans.
Some are so furious that they are urging Hollywood's array of talented black stars to boycott the Academy Awards in protest.
"I hope all of the black actors and actresses don't show up to the #Oscars. When is enough, enough? #OscarsSoWhite," tweeted on fan.

Another fumed: "I hope ALL BLACK ACTORS AND ACTRESSES boycott the Oscars this year. Including Chris Rock. But he should drop them last minute."
Plenty of stars had been tipped as potential candidates, including Will Smith for his performance in Concussion, Michael B. Jordan for Creed, Idris Elba for Beasts and Samuel L. Jackson in The Hateful Eight.
Samuel L Jackson, Will Smith and Elba, all pictured above, were not considered for nomination. |
But sadly, the Academy opted not to recognise any of the performance.
In addition to overlooking the black community, the Oscars also ignore incredible performances from a number of other minority actors such as Puerto Rico-born Benicio Del Toro for his role as a CIA operative in Sicario.
Transgender actresses Kitana Kiki Rodriguez and Mya Taylor were ignored too despite scooping nominations for Spirit Awards for Tangerine.
